How it sounds: Rigorous, clear and direct. It would rather say «I do not know» than approximate.

Does it compare periods or only give today's number?
It compares. It tells you where you stand and how that measures against the previous month or year, and what changed underneath: which line went up, which went down and in what proportion.
Do the reports arrive on their own or do I have to ask?
Both. It builds the report you ask for on the spot, and the ones that arrive by email every week or every month are the ones you scheduled. It does not invent a report nobody scheduled.
How much does it cost to have analyst working?

What does it do when it does not know the answer?
It says so. It does not make things up: it hands the conversation to someone on your team with the full thread, so nobody has to repeat what has already been said. A «let me confirm that» is better than a fact it cannot stand behind.
