What it costs to have AI answer your phone
US$0.2985 per minute spoken. No monthly fee, no minimum, and no plan includes minutes: you pay exactly the minutes your line answered, and nothing when it doesn't ring.
How it is billed
US$0.2985 per minute spoken
We count the time the call was actually running. A call that never connects costs nothing; the moment your line answers, at least one minute is charged.
Minutes round up
A call of 1 minute 10 seconds bills as 2 minutes, and one of 20 seconds bills as 1. There are no half minutes. We say it here because it is the difference between the bill you expect and the one that arrives.
It joins your end-of-month invoice
Not a separate payment and not a top-up: the month's usage lands on next month's invoice. Your portal counts the minutes as the month runs, so there is no surprise at the end.
Today you pay US$0
Turning the line on costs nothing. We store your card and from then on only the minutes it answered are charged. A month with no calls is a month you don't pay.
The math, done
Three volumes so you can place your own. The math is the rate times the minutes spoken that month, with nothing else on top.
| Minutes spoken in the month | What joins your invoice | Roughly how many calls that is |
|---|---|---|
| 50 minutes | US$14.92 | 10 or more |
| 200 minutes | US$59.70 | 40 or more |
| 500 minutes | US$149.25 | 100 or more |
The right column uses the 5-minute cap per call, so it is the MINIMUM number of calls that fit in those minutes. Shorter calls go further.
What the line does
Everything on this list works in production today. It is the same list the engine audits: every line is tied to the code that delivers it, and if something stops working the test goes red before it ships.
- Answers 24/7: no voicemail, no hold, no holidays
- Several calls at once, never a busy tone
- We give you a new line, or you forward the one you have
- Takes the booking and leaves it written on your board
- Each call leaves its card on your client board
- Hands the call to a person when needed
- Summary and transcript of every call, in your portal
- Answers in English and Spanish
Which number answers
Two paths, and it pays to know which is which before you start.
We give you a new line
A United States number we source and configure for you. It is the fastest path and the one almost everyone takes.
Or you forward the one you have
Keep your usual number and forward it to the line that answers. Your customers keep dialling the same number.
We do not port your number
Forwarding is not porting: your number stays with your carrier and you keep paying for it. We spell this out because "we port your number" is exactly the kind of promise this page exists to stop making.
What it does NOT do
The real limit, not a humility list.
- Every call cuts off at 5 minutes. That is a hard engine cap, not a guideline.
- We don't keep the call audio. The summary and the transcript live in your portal; the recording does not.
- It doesn't book inside the call: what was agreed is written on your board on hang-up, not during the conversation.
- It doesn't read web addresses aloud or send links while talking.
- It doesn't transfer with context: it hands over the call, not what was said.
- We don't keep numbers on the shelf waiting for customers, so the line isn't ready "in minutes": we source and configure it when you activate.
Questions about the phone
What exactly does it cost?
US$0.2985 per minute spoken, rounded up to the whole minute, so every answered call costs at least one minute. No fixed fee, no monthly minimum and no activation cost: if your line takes no calls in a month, that month the phone costs you nothing.
When am I charged?
At month end. The minutes spoken during the month are added to your next invoice — the same invoice as your plan, if you have one. The portal counts the minutes while the month runs, so you can see it coming.
Does my monthly plan include call minutes?
No, and no plan includes them. Calls are billed per minute spoken and sit outside the plan, because the cost depends on the phone carrier. That way whoever doesn't need the phone isn't paying for it inside their subscription.
Is there a length limit per call?
Yes: 5 minutes. The call cuts off there. It is an engine cap and it doubles as a handbrake: no single call can turn into an unexpected bill.
Do you give me a number or do I use mine?
Either works. We give you a new United States line that we configure, or you forward the number your customers already know to it. What we don't do is port your number: forwarded, it stays yours and stays with your carrier.
Do you keep the call recording?
No. The audio is not stored. What stays in your portal is the summary, the reason for the call and how it ended, plus the transcript to open when you need it.
Does it book the appointment while talking to the customer?
Not inside the call. It takes the booking during the conversation and, on hanging up, writes it on your board with the date and time already resolved. That is the difference between what the engine really does and what would be convenient to promise.
Which languages does it answer in?
English and Spanish, and it can switch language inside the same call depending on how the customer speaks to it.
What if several people call at once?
It answers all of them. There is no single busy line waiting: calls come in parallel and none of them hears a busy tone, not even at peak hour.
Shall we turn your line on?
Write to us and we'll get it running: we source the number or set up the forward from the one you have, and we tell you what it needs to know to answer for your business.
