Odoo
Odoo is usually where a company's products and stock actually live. This connection lets your digital employee read that catalog and quote from it, without touching a single thing in your system.
What connecting it solves
The ERP has the good data and nobody can reach it
The real price, the code and the quantity are in Odoo. Whoever is answering a chat doesn't go into Odoo — no user account, or it runs slow for them — so they answer with whatever they remember or with a list exported a month ago.
Exporting and re-uploading is a permanent job
The usual way out is to pull a file from Odoo and upload it into the other tool. It works the day you do it and starts going stale the next day, and it ends up as somebody's standing task.
Stock is exactly what changes the most
Prices change now and then; stock changes all day. It's the piece of data that turns into a lie fastest in a copy, and the one that costs the most to get wrong in front of a customer.
How the connection works
It reads the products that are up for sale
It pulls the products marked as sellable in your Odoo, with their name, list price, code and category. Whatever you have loaded but isn't up for sale stays out.
It pulls stock if you have Inventory
If your Odoo has the Inventory app, it reads the available quantity. If you don't have it, the connection still works with prices and catalog: it adapts to the modules you actually have installed.
It only links to what is already public
It shares a product link only if that product is published on your Odoo website. It doesn't link to the internal backend, because that would ask the customer for a user account at your company that they obviously don't have.

What you need to connect it
What the tool itself will ask you for. Worth having at hand before you start.
- Your Odoo address, something like mycompany.odoo.com
- The database name, which on Odoo Online is the one that appears in the address
- The email of the user the reading will be done with
- An API key generated under Settings → My Profile → Account Security → New API Key
What this connection does NOT do
The real limit, not a list of humility.
- It writes nothing in your Odoo: it doesn't create contacts, it doesn't create orders, it doesn't modify products
- It doesn't read your customers, your invoices or your accounting
- It doesn't pull stock if you don't have the Inventory app installed
- It can't connect to an Odoo that only exists inside your internal network
What data it touches
What travels is your catalog of sellable products: names, prices, codes, categories and stock. The connection is read-only.
Frequently asked questions
Can it create orders or customers inside my Odoo?
Not today. The connection reads your catalog of sellable products and writes nothing: no orders, no contacts, no changes to products. Logging the lead inside Odoo is on the product's path, but it isn't built yet.
Do I need to have the Inventory app installed?
It isn't required. If you have it, the connection reads the available quantity of each product. If you don't have it, it still works with prices and catalog: it adapts to the modules you actually have installed in your instance.
Is it going to give the customer a link to my internal Odoo?
No. It only shares a product link if that product is published on your Odoo website. Linking to the internal backend would be useless, because it would ask the customer for a user account at your company that they don't have.
Can I disconnect Odoo whenever I want?
Yes, from your portal and with no paperwork. When you disconnect, the employee stops using that information right away and the rest of the conversation keeps working the same. Nothing stays tied down and there's no minimum term.
Do I need to know programming to connect Odoo?
No. The connection is set up from your portal by pasting the details the tool itself gives you, and if you get stuck we help you get it running. There's no code to write and nobody to hire for this.
Where are the conversations stored?
In your portal, separate from those of any other customer. There you can read each full conversation and see the leads it produced, without depending on the app the message came in through.
