Shopify
Connecting Shopify is the difference between an employee who answers “let me confirm” and one who tells you the price and whether there is stock left. It reads your real catalog, with variants and stock, and quotes from that.
What connecting it solves
A hand-written catalog is out of date within a week
Typing the prices in by hand works on day one. Then you raise a price, a new collection comes in, a size sells out, and whoever answers is still reading the old list. The customer gets a price that no longer exists.
Promising what you do not have costs more than not selling
Confirming a size that is sold out forces you to write back to undo the promise. That second conversation is worse than the first: the customer had already made up their mind, and now they doubt everything else they were told.
Variants are where the sale gets lost
Almost nothing sells in a single version: there are sizes, colors, formats. Answering “yes, we have it” about a product that exists in eight variants is not an answer, and it forces the customer to ask three more times.
How the connection works
It reads product by product, with their variants
It brings in each product with its variants — size, color, format — and each one with its price, its code and its quantity. That is why it can answer about the blue size 38 and not just about the model in general.
It leaves out whatever is not published
Draft products do not come in. What you are preparing for a future collection is not offered to anyone by accident: the employee only sees what you already published in your store.
It shares the product link
When the customer decides, it shares the link to that product in your store so they complete the purchase there. The sale closes in your Shopify, with your design and your payment methods.
What it does with this
Everything on this list works in production today.
- Quotes with the products and prices from your store
- Checks whether there is stock before promising
- Shares the product link to close the purchase
Shopify in a conversation
Un ejemplo de cómo atiende. No es una conversación real de ningún cliente.
ClienteHi, do you have the waterproof jacket in size L?
Digital employeeHi. The waterproof jacket in size L is available in black and in blue. It is $320,000.
ClienteIn blue. How many are left?
Digital employeeIn blue, size L, there are 4 units left.
ClientePerfect. And do you have the same one in XL for my brother?
Digital employeeIn XL there is only black left, one unit. The blue in XL is sold out for now.
ClienteOk, just the blue one in L then
Digital employeeDone. Here is the product link so you can complete the purchase with size L in blue already selected.
What you need to connect it
What the tool itself will ask you for. Worth having at hand before you start.
- Your store domain, in the form your-store.myshopify.com
- An Admin API access token, which you create yourself from the Shopify admin panel under Settings → Apps → Develop apps
- That this token has read permission on products and nothing else: we do not ask for write permissions
What this connection does NOT do
The real limit, not a list of humility.
- It does not modify your store: it does not change prices, does not edit products, does not touch stock
- It does not create or manage orders inside Shopify
- It does not see your buyers' data or your sales history
- It does not show the products you have in draft
What data it touches
What travels is your catalog: names, prices, codes, stock, photos and links. The connection is read-only.
Frequently asked questions
What permissions do I have to give the connection?
Read-only on products. The token you create in your Shopify admin panel does not need write permissions, and we do not ask for them. If you ever see permissions being requested to modify your store, something is misconfigured.
Does it understand sizes and colors, or only the general product?
It understands variants. Each size, color or format comes in with its own price, its code and its quantity, which is what lets it answer about a specific size instead of only saying that the model exists.
Will it offer products I still have in draft?
No. Draft products are left out of what it reads, so what you are preparing for a future collection is not offered to anyone by accident. Only what is already published in your store comes in.
Can I disconnect Shopify whenever I want?
Yes, from your portal and with no paperwork. When you disconnect, the employee stops using that information right away and the rest of the conversation keeps working the same. Nothing stays tied down and there's no minimum term.
Do I need to know programming to connect Shopify?
No. The connection is set up from your portal by pasting the details the tool itself gives you, and if you get stuck we help you get it running. There's no code to write and nobody to hire for this.
Where are the conversations stored?
In your portal, separate from those of any other customer. There you can read each full conversation and see the leads it produced, without depending on the app the message came in through.
Connect Shopify from your portal
You hire the employee, go into the portal and connect Shopify in the channels or integrations section. If you get stuck, we help you.
