WooCommerce

If your store lives on WordPress, connecting WooCommerce gives your digital employee the real catalog: the published products, their prices and what is left in stock, without you having to copy anything by hand.

What connecting it solves

The catalog and the conversation live apart

The store has the right data and whoever answers has a separate list. Every price change in the store is a change someone has to remember to copy over, and there is almost always one that gets forgotten.

Looking up the product takes longer than answering

To answer "how much is it" someone has to open the store, find the product, check whether it has a discount and go back to the chat. That is two minutes per question, and at fifteen questions a day it becomes somebody's job.

Nobody knows what is running out

With stock out of sight, you keep offering what has already run out and stop offering what is piling up. Inventory decides the sales and the conversation ignores it completely.

How the connection works

It only brings what is published

It reads the products that are published in your store. Drafts and anything you keep hidden stay out, so the employee does not offer something you did not want to show yet.

It understands two ways of tracking inventory

If you manage quantities, it uses the exact number. If you only mark "in stock" or "out of stock" — which is how plenty of stores work — it uses that. It adapts to how you track your inventory instead of demanding you change it.

It shares the product link

When there is a decision, it shares the link to the product in your store. The customer finishes the purchase on your WordPress, with your payment methods and your shipping rules.

What it does with this

Everything on this list works in production today.

  • Quotes with the products and prices from your store
  • Checks stock before promising anything
  • Shares the product link

WooCommerce in a conversation

Un ejemplo de cómo atiende. No es una conversación real de ningún cliente.

ClienteHi, is the coffee grinder you have on sale still there?

Digital employeeHi there. Yes, the manual grinder is $178,000 and we have it in stock.

ClienteThat's the manual one? I was looking for an electric one

Digital employeeThe electric one is a different model, it's $265,000 and we have it available too. That one grinds faster and comes with several grind settings.

ClienteWhich one do you recommend for a French press?

Digital employeeFor a French press you need a coarse, even grind. Both work; the electric one gives you the more even grind without the effort.

ClienteAlright, the electric one

Digital employeePerfect. Here's the link to the electric grinder so you can complete the purchase in the store.

What you need to connect it

What the tool itself will ask you for. Worth having at hand before you start.

  • Your store address, something like yourbusiness.com
  • An API access key that you generate in your WordPress panel, under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API
  • That the key has Read permission, not write: it is an option in that same form
  • That your store is reachable from the internet: a store that only lives on your local network cannot be connected

What this connection does NOT do

The real limit, not a list of humility.

  • It does not modify your store: it does not change prices or stock, and it does not edit products
  • It does not see orders or your buyers' data
  • It does not install plugins or touch your WordPress settings
  • It does not read products you have as drafts or set to private

What data it touches

What travels is your published catalog: names, prices, codes, stock, photos and links. The connection is read-only.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of access key do I need to generate?

One with Read permission. When you generate it in your WordPress panel there is an option that decides whether it is read or write: leave it on read. With that, the connection cannot modify anything in your store even if it wanted to.

Does it work if I don't track exact inventory quantities?

Yes. If you only mark whether something is in stock or out of stock, which is how plenty of stores work, the connection uses that mark. And if you do manage quantities, it uses the exact number. It adapts to how you track your inventory instead of demanding you change it.

Does it work if my store is on my own server?

It works as long as the store is reachable from the internet. An installation that only exists inside your office network cannot be connected, because the connection comes from outside and has no way to reach it.

Can I disconnect WooCommerce whenever I want?

Yes, from your portal and with no paperwork. When you disconnect, the employee stops using that information right away and the rest of the conversation keeps working the same. Nothing stays tied down and there's no minimum term.

Do I need to know programming to connect WooCommerce?

No. The connection is set up from your portal by pasting the details the tool itself gives you, and if you get stuck we help you get it running. There's no code to write and nobody to hire for this.

Where are the conversations stored?

In your portal, separate from those of any other customer. There you can read each full conversation and see the leads it produced, without depending on the app the message came in through.

Connect WooCommerce from your portal

You hire the employee, go into the portal and connect WooCommerce in the channels or integrations section. If you get stuck, we help you.
